Greetings to all MASAE Members:
MASAE has a lot going on and I hope to cover the high points here.
In June 2015 MASAE held the Mid-Year Meeting at the Inn at Penn. It was another great event and if you were not able to attend please make sure to attend next year.
We also have some great events coming up.

MASAE Annual Conference – December 2-3, 2015
The MASAE Annual Conference will be held December 2-3, 2015 at beautiful Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The Conference Committee is working hard to put together a great program. Please see the additional information included in the July 2015 issue of PACE or click here for registration brochure.
New Event Schedule for 2016
The Education Committee has listened to the feedback of the membership and has completely revised the event schedule for 2016. MASAE is moving to a new education structure that is anchored by the Mid-Year, Annual Conference and a new one day conference that will be in the spring, in the Princeton/Trenton region. These changes were a direct result of comments received from the members regarding the ideal length of educational sessions.
MASAE launches a new website
MASAE recently launched a new website. The web address has remained the same http://www.midatlantic-sae.org/ but the look and feel of the website has changed. Please login and update your profile and see what the website has to offer. One of the great new features are regularly scheduled blog posts by national and regional leaders. The most recent item posted by Bob Bauer regarding why he joins associations is really good information for all of us and information we can share with our association volunteers.
Interested in Volunteering with MASAE
In my last PACE article I mentioned why I volunteer with MASAE, what I get out of it and how the decision to volunteer is one of the most fulfilling things I have ever done both professionally and personally and now it is your turn to get involved. MASAE is only as good as the volunteers we have serving on the Committees and the Board. The MASAE Board Nomination form was recently emailed. Nominations are due by September 30th. If there are any questions please contact the MASAE Nominations Committer Chair Don Pendley at firstname.lastname@example.org. Not ready to take a Board Position why not volunteer for a Committee. MASAE has a number of committees that help plan our educational events, work on increasing membership, help manage our finances and plan our social events. For a full list of Committees please visit http://midatlantic-sae.site-ym.com/?page=Committees .
I think the most important thing all of us need to remember is that MASAE is your organization. There are many people that put effort into improving MASAE but the organization needs your help to be successful. Join the Board and/or a Committee!! If you do not have the time to be part of the Board or a Committee submit an article to PACE magazine. MASAE has great events but the events can only be as good as the speakers and attendees. Volunteer to speak at an educational session or at the very least make a commitment to attend one educational session such as the Annual Conference in December. Come to the Networking Events such as the Breakfast Clubs and meet and talk with your colleagues.
If there are any questions I can answer or concerns you have please call or email me.
MASAE appreciates your membership and support. Thank you!!!
