MASAE Selects Lutine Management as New Management Partner
At their annual meeting in December, the Mid-Atlantic Society of Association Executives (MASAE) announced that they had selected Lutine Management Associates as their new management partner. In making the announcement, outgoing president Amy Williams, MPA, CAE thanked Pat Koziol for her years of service to the New Jersey Society of Association Executives (NJSAE) and then as the inaugural executive director of MASAE, which was formed by merger of NJSAE and the Delaware Valley Society of Association Executives (DVSAE) . Williams also noted the board’s enthusiasm for beginning the next chapter in MASAE’s growth with Lutine’s strategic and administrative guidance.
Lutine Management Associates is led by Ray Saputelli, MBA, CAE who will serve as MASAE Executive Director. Saputelli has been a part of the association management community for more than 25 years, has served on the boards of DVSAE and NJSAE, and as president of NJSAE was one of the guiding forces in creation of MASAE. In his new role with MASAE, Ray noted the value that the society has played in his career, saying:
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the dedicated and driven association executives and associate member partners in MASAE leadership. Their desire to make MASAE the premier allied society in the country is Lutine’s call to action. MASAE, and before that NJSAE and DVSAE have been a significant part of my success as an association executive, not only because they provided critical education and a community of peers who helped me grow in my career, but also and perhaps even more importantly, because membership in the society solidified my personal commitment to the profession of Association Management. I look forward to being a part of building that same experience for the next generation of association executives and leaders.”
Current MASAE president Todd Von Deak, MBA, CAE also welcomed the transition to Lutine’s leadership and added that one of the goals he’s set for his year-long term is to engage members at every level and communicate the unique value that MASAE offers. He stated:
“For so many of us, the relationships we’ve formed over the years through membership in MASAE have become the among the most beneficial, collegial, and energizing in our network. I want to spend the year telling that story to every association executive I can reach. I am looking forward to working with Ray and the Lutine Management staff to communicate the existing value of membership, and to continue building new and even more valuable services and relationships that advance our community.”
